CAB Workbench (Approve /Reject Button not visible to CAB Manager)

Hello everyone,

Our requirement is to enable the CAB Manager (as defined in the CAB definition record) to Approve or Reject changes during a CAB meeting.

As shown in the attached screenshot, when we impersonate the CAB Manager and start the meeting, we are unable to approve or reject a particular change.

We are aware of the standard behavior where:
• Approvals for the change record are in the Requested state.
• The user must be listed as an approver on the change record.

However, our use case is different. We would like to have Approve/Reject buttons available to the CAB Manager specifically for the CAB meeting context. This action should not be tied to the internal approval workflow of the change record, but rather exist solely for CAB meeting decisions.

Has anyone implemented this kind of functionality, or does anyone have suggestions on how to achieve this?

Thank you.

Hi @Yogita11_

Change Management is one of my favorite areas, and I'm happy to assist you. I tried this in my instance: I impersonated a CAB Manager and started the meeting (either the CAB Manager or delegate can open the CAB meeting). I can confirm that the CAB Manager is able to see the 'Approve' or 'Reject' button on the change record

I'm pretty sure you can't impersonate someone and approve. It would be like approving on their behalf without them knowing about it, which is a red flag.

Is it possible to add approve or reject button to cab manager of cab defination? without having the part of "CAB" group?

Hi @Yogita11_

No, that’s not possible. Unless the CAB is open, the CAB Manager won’t be able to see that button on the workbench.
