Service Catalog Item Request Method

I'm building my first Service Catalog Item.  Playing with the Request method setting on the Portal Settings tab, it doesn't seem to matter which option I select.  Despite what the doc page says, the button text is always Submit and the Hide 'Add to Cart' option never hides Add to Cart.  SN bug or user error?

Those settings only apply in the Service Portal, so when you are creating your catalog item and use the "try it" button to look at what your item looks like, you're getting the platform view, not the Service Portal view. To get a true feel for what it will look like, you need to open the service portal on another tab or something and navigate to the item there.

Hello Chris,

We have below three request methods

order, Request and submit.

When you are selecting request method as submit and hiding art to cart option like below.

find_real_file.png

You will see as below on portal

find_real_file.png

It will hide add to cart option available while submitting the request. it will not hide the cart menu appears besides tour menu. this cart menu is a page. And if you want to hide menu from top then you have to change the property on that particulat page. PFB image for your reference when hide to cart option is unchecked.

Please let me know if you need any other info on this.

I will suggest try different request methods and see the changes by yourself on portal.

Please mark my answer helpful if it helped you in any way.

Thank you.
