Hello everyone
We have Ham pro plugin installed (Version is Yokohama)
Requirement is to source assets (laptop+monitors+mobile+accessories)
1.Bundled models vs order guides anything is depreciated or that we should not use?
2.either in order guide or Bundle or single asset .sourcing Models of the asset can always change ,the laptop model we are procuring might be different from future model.how can we source model we want rather than sourcing fixed model
3.In documentation I read ,substitution models will not work in hardaare sourcing or asset bundles
Whats the best way to proceed ,considering end user ,fulfiller workflow and developer maintenance.
What I tried so far…..
1.created a bundled model
2.Added model components
3.it works but every time it allows me to source same model and I can’t source any other model .which will be complete failure for setup we are planning as well have more 50models which can redeployed and also purchase new models 3months
Note:We are domain separated environment.Msp structure.
Thanks in advance.

Nothing in Yokohama/updates/depreciated to stop using Order Guides or Bundles. They remain valid. However, if you use a Bundle that hard-codes a specific model component, that bundle will always result in that exact model being used.
I would suggest use an Order Guide / Catalog Item pattern that lets the requester choose a "Model Family" / placeholder or a variable to determine the specific model, and let resolution logic pick the concrete model at fulfillment time (using workflow).
Example :
- Laptop Request, monitors, mobile with a dynamic variable that lets the user select from a list of available models.
If a specific model was selected, the workflow sources that model from available inventory.
If no specific model was selected, the workflow can source a generic model and then the fulfiller can manually select an available specific model during the fulfillment process.
If this helped to answer your query, please mark it helpful & accept the solution.
Thanks!
