Let's do this

I'm very concerned about the integrity of the voting system you set up. This post only has ~200 views but the there are ~700 votes on the voting page. I know that doesn't mean anything in and of itself however, I've also been following the voting and noticed that the votes have come in in huge chunks. Especially recently. I checked the voting yesterday and the current frontrunner had zero votes now today they have ~250 all of the sudden.

What are you doing to ensure the integrity of the votes? For example, are you checking IP address, account creation dates, account activity, etc? It feels like there are a lot of illegitimate votes.

I've been following the voting and noticed that the votes have come in in huge chunks. Especially recently. I checked the voting yesterday and the current frontrunner had zero votes now today they have ~250 all of the sudden and the other 5 apps have the same vote tallies as yesterday. What are the chances that 250 actual community members came by to vote organically and all of them only voted for one specific app that had received no votes prior to that?

What are you doing to ensure the integrity of the votes? For example, are you checking IP addresses, account creation dates, account activity, etc and filtering out bad faith votes? It seems like there are a lot of illegitimate votes that are not coming from actual participating community members but possibly new and/or duplicate accounts.

I haven't seen any additional marketing or social media about the voting, yet since the above comment 4 days ago another 500+ votes (more than half of the existing votes) have come in and 98.6% went to the three with irregular voting behaviour only 1.4% to the others... Just since 1.5 hours ago there has been over 100 votes in chunks going back and forth between the top two seemingly trying to outvote each other (with burner accounts??)... 🤔🤷‍♂️

@FeeS Well.... It's very simple... 🤣.

You are watching an efficient Indian mail factory fully in action on one side and a passionate company with a legit application trying to fight to survive on the other side.

At the early stage you could see what were the real scores. The KeyBank app team activated their network to get some votes and where initially successful but I guess they have a limited network. Then the QAAS app company started to activate their people and network which as expected at that stage.

The the SmartGuide team seeing they were getting no votes (which is pretty normal given the horrible quality of the presentation and application) they started activating their internal Indian mail factory.

They were super active yesterday then went to sleep so the number increase slowed down almost completely and right at 7.30 India time the counter started to get crazy again by one vote per minute.

Is it fair? No. Does ServiceNow care? Apparently not.

@ParaD  I agree. Although, to be fair, there shouldn't be any "activating their network". The votes should all be from pre-existing, actively used/contributing, community accounts. The point of the Peoples choice is to be voted on by members (assuming developer members, since it's developer awards) of the ServiceNow community.

It should not be a contest of "who has the most employees/friends willing to create an account and vote for them".
